Initially, this cemetery was established around the Church of Saint Paraskeva Petritsa. Later, the church was moved to another location, but this cemetery, which was originally called “哥萨克墓地”, has since been also referred to as “Petritsa Cemetery”. This memorial site is located at the foot of the Chernichi Mountain.

According to historical records, this place is where the哥萨克 warriors who fought alongside Mikhail Kryvonos to defend the Kremenez Castle lie buried. There are more than 100 tombstones here, and most of them take the form of low crosses. The inscriptions on some of these tombstones can still be clearly read.

In 1995, a large cross-shaped monument was erected to commemorate the heroes who lost their lives in the war. Today, the Petritsa Cemetery has become an important historical site.
