For permission to cross the border you will have to pay 7 euros. This decision was taken by the ambassadors of the European Union at a meeting on April 25, but it should be approved by the European Parliament and the Council of the EU, ZN.ua.
Before the trip it will be necessary to pass a check, the purpose of which is to increase internal security, prevent illegal immigration, and reduce delays at the borders. To do this, you will need to fill in the questionnaire in advance through the Internet.
It is promised that the deadline for consideration of the application will not exceed 96 hours, and most decisions will be approving. However, the European Council noted that the approved application will not be a 100% guarantee for entry to Europe: the border guard will make the final decision.
The entry permit will be valid for 3 years or until the expiration date of the passport or other document registered when processing the application.
According to experts' forecasts, the new rules will be in effect from 2020.
