Handmade entomological creations
British needlewoman Claire Moynihan (Claire Moynihan) lives in the countryside of Hertfordshire, England. With her hands she creates original and very unusual figures of insects and snails from felt. In addition to the felt base, Claire Moynihan uses several different methods of free-form embroidery. She received an education from the Academy of Arts. Five years ago she became the holder of a bachelor's degree in applied arts. After a small series of insects or snails is ready, the craftsman fixes them in the boxes familiar to entomologists behind the glass. If we consider products at a distance, they are incredibly similar to real insects.
