The church of St. Dimitri in the small village of Tatariv was built in 1870. A temple was built in honor of the righteous Great Martyr Dmitry Slutsky. The author of the church project was the architect F.

The church in Tatariv refers to the original works of the famous Hutsul school of folk architecture. The wooden temple has a small area and a cross-shaped layout. The roof of the temple is made of shingles - building material. On the walls of the temple to this day preserved works of painting of the 19th century. A fairly large iconostasis consists of five tiers and is painted by the local master A. Orzhekhovsky.

The church is located in the cemeteryand overlooks the roadway. In this cemetery you can find ancient monuments and grave vaults. Above all this stands a huge crucifix, which is clearly visible outside the church territory. On all sides the temple is surrounded by a low stone fence. Entrance to the church territory is possible through the central gate, which in the daytime is always open to the congregation.
