The monastery was founded in 1925 in the village of Dubov, which is in Transcarpathia. A few years later he was transferred to the village of Bedevlyu. In 1953, 12 monks lived in the monastery.

Despite this, the monastery was disbanded, and all the monks were transferred to the Tereblyansky monastery, but it was soon closed. In 1991 the monastery was able to open its doors. It accommodated 6 monks and laid the foundation for a large church. Throughout 1992, the church returned 8 hectares of its historic land.

Now on its territory are built a large church of John the Baptist, a winter temple in honor of the Pochaev Icon of the Mother of God, and also there is a building with 16 monks and a refectory. In the temple there are many shrines and icons with relics. Monks who live in a monastery have their own farm and even an apiary.

The Ioanno-Predtechensky Monastery - is a place with a rich history. The shrine survived a lot, but managed to recover again.
