The role of superman claimed Armie Hammer and Joe Manganello, and Lois Lane tried to embody Jessica Biel, Diane Agron, Malin Ackerman, Rachel McAdams. Participation of Hans Zimmer for a long time was kept secret. Only in June 2012 the creators of the film officially announced that he will be the composer. The project itself started in June 2008.

The main idea of the new movie about Superman is to reveal the personality of the hero. Who is he, this mysterious Clark Kent? Who were his biological parents? How did the vital disasters affected him from birth? How strong is his inner connection with his home, with his father and mother? And, finally, who would this young man be without his super abilities? Is it man made of steel?
