Church of the Entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem, Old Ugrinov

Many churches all over the world have the same name. One of these is the church of the Entry of the Lord Jesus Christ to Jerusalem, located in the village of Stary Ugrinov.

The wooden Greek-Catholic the temple was laid in 1820. The church has several entrances, the main one is made in the form of an arch, on both sides of it are icons of the Birth and Ascension of Jesus Christ. Window openings also resemble arches of different sizes. The domes in the form of faceted bulbs are crowned with crosses. The church is more reminiscent of a merchant's chamber or boyar's house, and many visors further emphasize this similarity. Near the temple is a low bell tower.

During the First World War, an enemy shell hit the church. The temple was completely burnt. And after ten years, he was rebuilt.

On the wall of the temple there is a bas-relief with a commemorative plaque, which tells that once there was a service priest called Bandera. It was the father of the UPA leader Stepan Andreevich Bandera.
