Historical museum, Vorokhta

A small urban village Vorokhta has wonderful picturesque corners. The whole area is surrounded by mountains, and the buildings themselves are buried in dense greenery during the warm season. Here are laid the most convenient way of ascentto the highest mountain of the Carpathians - Hoverla. The village has a rich history and its color.

Closer acquaintance with this region allows the local history and local lore museum, which was opened in 2006. It is located in the building where the House of Culture was previously located. A significant part of the exhibits relates to the life of the famous Galician politician Stepan Fedak, whose fate was closely connected with the village.

The museum collection highlights the historical era of the villageand reveals the characteristics of its culture and architecture. Vorokhta is the cradle of the Oprishkov movement. Here are exhibits relating to this period in the history of the village. The museum's expositions are dedicated to the religious views of local residents, sports hobbies, tourist services, industrial development and outstanding personalities of Vorokhta.
