Most of the town is occupied by mountain peaks, and one of the villages is one of the most high-mountainous settlements of the country.
It is here that the Assumption Church is located, which is one of the largest religious buildings in Ukraine, built of wood. The sight is made in Hutsul style, perfectly reflecting the local color. The construction of the temple dates back to the 18th century. A rectangular church building under a silver roof with four domes is located behind a neat wooden-stone fence and carved gates of similar architecture. Temple facade is painted in a bright -yellow. Near the church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary a wooden three-tiered bell tower was built. Surrounded by thick, high deciduous trees in the summer or wrapped in snowdrifts in winter, the church acquires the look of a fairy-tale house.
