Sand sculpture festival in Hampton
The sand sculpture festival in Hampton has been held since 2000. Its founder was the local sculptor Gregory Grady (Gregory Grady). He created several sculptures on the local beach exclusively on volunteer grounds.
Now this event has become an international event. For sculptures, more than 150 tons of sand was used. Ten international masters took part in the competition program. The prize fund of the festival was $ 15 000. In principle, looking at all the final works, it is obvious that the jury has had a difficult job in terms of choosing the winner. June 22, winners were announced, and from July 7th the exhibition became available to ordinary viewers. The other day, the sculptures were turned back into the beach:)
