Krestovozdvizhenskaya church, Kamenetz-Podolsky
The Holy Cross Church of Kamenets-Podolsky is located next to the beautiful Kamenetz-Podolsky fortress, in the south-western part of the city.
The temple, which we see today, was built in the 17th century on the banks of the Smotrych river. The old wooden structure is one of the brightest works of the Podolsk school of folk wooden architecture. For a long time the church remained the only Orthodox church in the city. The bell tower, built in 1863, has survived to this day.
The ancient Kamenetz-Podolsk Holy Cross Church has an unusual atmosphere. Visitors feel the sense of the sanctity and antiquity of the place. To get to the church, you need to go down from the Castle Bridge to the foot of the fortress.
