Mezinsky Nature Park
Mezinsky National Park is one of the most large-scale reserves of Ukraine. It is famous for its wide list of rare plants, wild animals and the most beautiful landscape zone. All this for years was an unoccupied place, remaining an island of true beautywith lively landscapes from dense greenery and clear lakes.
In total, 24 species of animals listedin theRed DataBook ofUkraine, 25 fish species, 3 species of various reptiles and 93 species of birds have been registered on 31 thousand hectares. The peculiarity of flora and fauna lies in the fact that the soil of the park is arid, mainly of white sand, despite the fact that the Desna river flows here with its tributaries. Also there are lakes and a few marshes. In the period of maximum summer temperatures, in the shadow of the Mezinsky Reserve, degrees do not drop below 40.
Part of the Mezinsky Nature Park is the Mezinsky Archaeological Museum, which presents the history of the microregion from the Paleolithic to modern times.
After a visit to the picturesque zone of the forest park, it is worth to visit the Old Spruce Alley or book an excursion to the beautiful Galagan Palace.
