For an observer on the ground, the rainbow usually looks like an arc, part of a circle, and the higher the observation point — the more it is fuller (you can see a full circle from a mountain or an airplane).

When the Sun rises above 42 degrees above the horizon, a rainbow from the surface of the Earth is not visible.
