Tattoos: For and Against?

Summer. It’s hot, and everyone tries to wear as little clothing as possible. There’s also a strange phenomenon: no matter who you look at, someone somewhere is wearing some sort of decoration! A pattern on the shoulder, a butterfly on the back, or even a symbol drawn on the neck. Why do people decorate themselves with such patterns and symbols?

Is there any real meaning behind this, or is it simply a matter of fashion?!
Tattooing has been a form of body art for a very long time. Back in the past, people would get tattoos for specific reasons: to establish hierarchies within tribes, to mark stages of adulthood, or to protect themselves from evil spirits, among other things.
Today, for most people, tattooing is a way of expressing themselves. It’s a way of declaring who they are as individuals with their own beliefs and values.
Unfortunately, however, more and more people are becoming victims of fashion trends. They go to a tattoo artist and say, “I want a tattoo! I don’t know exactly what I want yet, but let me look at some catalogs first!” A few months later, they come back asking the artist to remove it. For those who are afraid of pain: removing a tattoo is much more painful than getting it done in the first place. Moreover, it can cause complications, such as leaving scars or marks.

If you really want to get a tattoo that means something to you, then don’t rush into it. First, take your time to carefully choose the design. Research all possible meanings of the symbol you’re considering, because life can lead you in many different directions. After you’ve decided on the design and where you want it, think about which salon and artist you’d like to use. You can ask friends for recommendations or look online for information. Once you’ve made all these decisions, take another moment to weigh the pros and cons before finally going ahead with the procedure.
Of course, this decision should be made in a clear-headed state. Once, a young man who was quite overweight was having fun with his friends and drinking alcohol. They suggested that he get a mermaid tattoo on his stomach. Unfortunately, he agreed. Now, he has to live with a tattoo of a curvaceous girl with a fish tail… You certainly don’t want to end up in the same situation!

For those who are unsure but still want to give tattooing a try, there are alternative options. For example, you can get a temporary tattoo by applying paint to your skin using a brush, special marker, tampon, sponge, spray gun, or paste. In all these cases, the pigment is absorbed into the epidermis and usually sheds within 30 days. The design will still look good for about two weeks during which time you can decide whether tattooing is really right for you.
