The Church of the Holy Intercession, Chortkov
One of the religious centers of the Ternopil region is the Holy Protection Church in the city of Chortkiv. The church was built in 1905 at the expense of the parishioners on the site of a wooden church. The project of the church in classical style with rich decoration was developed by the Lviv architects company with the participation of the local builder A.

There is a legend that only a new temple was consecrated, as a miracle source appearedin the courtyard. A chapel of the Mother of God was placed above it. Later, a bath was built there. Another incredible story happened in 1944. The enemy shell struck the wall of the temple, but the icon of the Mother of God was not injured.
