The Old Town Hall, Chortkov
The town hall was built in 1908. The idea of creating the town hall belonged to the then city burgomaster Ludwik Noss. He desired that The town hall was built in an unusual for Chortkov Scandinavian style.
According to many sources, the clock for the town hall was made by the famous Swiss watchmaker Frenkal Gottenschaften. Throughout the length of the town hall there were shopping streets that existed in this place since the end of the 19th century. This tradition has survived to our times, therefore the Chortkiv bazaar is the most colorful in the Ternopil region. The old town hall with a quadrangular small clock tower and a weathercock-cockerel is considered a visiting card of the city.
The new Town Hall in Chortkiv was built in 1926-1930. This town hall, unlike the old one, justifies its purpose - it houses the city council.
