La Tomatina 2013 festival: make everything red
In the Levantine town of Bunyol, yesterday, exactly one hour before noon, tomato madness began, which for more than three decades is considered one of the most unusual festivals in Spain. We offer you a selection of photos from the festival.
The start in the form of a shot of a special firecracker was given, and a battle raged on tomatoes. Several tens of thousands of people take part in the festival every year. And this despite the fact that the population of the whole Bunyol hardly exceeds 10 thousand inhabitants. Tons of tomatoes and, as a result, rivers of tomato juice literally absorb the city atmosphere of fun and carefree entertainment. This year at & laquo; La Tomatina 2013 & raquo; was not less willing to throw tomatoes than in previous years, and, perhaps, even more.
