Monument to the postman Fyodor Feket

He became a postman when the foundry was founded in the village. Every day he traveled about 25 km to Uzhgorod and back, delivered mail under any circumstances, weather and regardless of the time of year. For such an excellent work he was called "Ambassador".

Once Fedor crossed the river far from the crossing on slippery stones. He wanted to save time and deliver mail as soon as possible, but slipped and fell into ice water, fell ill with pneumonia and died in 1839. The postman was buried at the local cemetery, but the grave was not preserved, as when the territory of the temple expanded it was under the church. In gratitude, the locals decided to create a monument to him. Now not only tourists come to him, but also wedding couples to leave letters with their desires. People believe that they will necessarily be fulfilled.
