The Assumption Church is located in the center of Novoselitsa - a small village in the Transcarpathian region. Its full name is the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin. The temple belongs to small architectural masterpieces of Gothic.

The church was built in the middle of the 17th century. A distinctive feature of the temple is the presence of a high tower with an acute spire at the end. The whole building is built of natural oak beams. Near the church there is also a bell tower. It has a two-level layout in the form of a rectangle and a framework structure.

The walls and the central arch of the temple are painted by the masters of the Galician school of painting. This work dates back to the second half of the 17th century. The church has been restored many times, therefore it preserved its almost original appearance until our times.

The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is an outstanding monument of works of folk painting and architecture of Ukraine. The most extensive restoration of the structure was carried out in 1979-1980. The frescoes were restored a year later. Today in the church there is a museum of architecture and painting.
