Old wine cellar, Berehove

Grapes in Berehove were grown from a long time ago. For its production and storage, according to legend, the owners of the vineyards forced the captive Turks to carve a cellar in the rock. This is one of the few surviving wine cellars of the 17th century.

After more than 300 years, this vintage cellar is again used for storing wine. The family of Oleg and Tatiana Gavrilchenko helped in this. They use traditional old technologies to make dry vintage wines from different varieties of local grapes: Muscat Ottonel, Limberger, Zweigelt, Cuvée, Zengo, Müller-Thurgau and others.

All ready-made wines are aged in oak barrels. This contributes to the preservation of the natural taste of grapes. As a result, drinks are obtained with a unique range of flavors, capable of giving a lot of pleasant moments. It is worth to come to the connoisseurs of good wines, as well as wishing to just relax in a new place for themselves. The tour of the wine cellars includes acquaintance with the technologies of wine production, as well as tasting the Beregov wines themselves. In addition, the city has many other attractions, including the City Courthouse.
