Church of St. Mary Magdalene, Belaya Tserkov

The church of St. Mary Magdalene was built in the 18th century with the help of the Countess-patron of arts Anastasia Branitskaya. In those years the church was located outside the historical center of the city.

It was said that the princess gave a vow to build 12 churches, and this church was the last.

The temple is built in the style of classicism. According to its design, the church is single-domed, cross-shaped, four-pillar, and a bell-tower is attached to it. In Soviet times, it was one of the few active temples of the city. The Church of Mary Magdalene perfectly fits into the natural landscape of the city, located near the wide mouth of the river, in the center of the forest thick.
