Ukrainian House, Kiev
Originally it was built, as a building, where the Kiev branch of the All-Union Museum of V.I. Lenin, which since 1938 was located in the building of the former Pedagogical Museum. Construction was advanced to the 60th anniversary of the anniversary of the USSR.
The chief architect of the Ukrainian House is Vadim Gopkalo.The exposition of the Lenin Museum operated in the premises from 1982 to 1993. After Ukraine gained independence, the building was handed over to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and, on its order, in 1993, the "Ukrainian House" was opened. Since that time the center has become the main exhibition complex of the country.
Inside the building is alarge concert hall, media center, several exhibition halls, galleries. A variety of cultural events are held on the basis of the Ukrainian House: exhibitions, concerts, conferences, symposia, presentations and much more. In total, the funds of the Ukrainian house hold 70,000 exhibits, thepearls are a collection of paintings and a collection of folk attributes.
