House of sculptor Levchenko

Many talented peoplewere born in Ukraine, which are known all over the world. For example, T. Shevchenko, Lesya Ukrainka, N. Gogol and others. Their creative heritage attracts hundreds of tourists to Ukraine every year.

Here and in a small town Stryy with pleasure comes a huge number of tourists. Why? Here, at the intersection of Mikhnovsky and Gogol streets, there is a special house. In the one-story building of the 19th century, which is richly decorated with stucco and bas-reliefs, lives the famous sculptor K. Levchenko. His house, like the house of any creative personality, is very differentfrom the rest of the gray buildings of the city. The facade of the building vividly shows us what the owner is doing.

Levchenko became known for his work around the world. In the best museums in Canada, France and the Czech Republic exhibited his works. In the house of the sculptor you can also admire the creations ofhis hands. Here are placed 12 sculptures: "Mother of God", "Daughter", "Sich Riflemen" and others.
