In the depths of Khreshchatsky Park there are two ancient water towers. More than 130 years ago they served the residents of Kiev on purpose. One of them now houses the Water Museum.
The museum was created with the purpose: to acquaint people with the peculiarities of the terrestrial hydrosphere, the history of water supply in Kiev and to show what the irrational use of water leads to. Here you can learn a lotabout such a simple substance as water. A special elevator will take you to the place, because the entire exposition is underground. Guides will guide you along the path that passes the water, falling to the ground by rain.
In this museum you will not be bored. Many exhibits are dynamic. For example, a real bathroom, in which water always flows. Some of the exhibits are alive. In one of the halls is a pool with Japanese fish, which are very fond of visitors and jump out to greet them.
In the museum there is a special grotto in which real miracles take placewith water. You can see and waterfall, and rain with a thunder-storm, and even hear the thunder. Incredible sensations!
Workers of the museum actively involve tourists in excursions. For example, children do not miss the opportunity to dig their own river bed in the sand with their blades. And from the show with soap bubbles, not only children, but adults as well, are delighted.

The entrance fee is 35 UAH. The museum runs from Wednesday to Friday from 10:00 to 17:00, and on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00. The nearest metro station is Independence Square.
