Nikolaevsky Cathedral (Mogilev-Podilsky)
The stone church, built in 1754 on the donations of urban religious communities, has undergone many reconstructions. In the course of several of them, the territory was expanded and residential buildings were built. At the end of the 19th century, the town tower turned into a quadrangular bell tower, still decorating the church.
Nikolaevsky temple is one of the few religious buildings in Ukraine, which preserved the original internal and external design.Neither the world wars, nor Soviet power left their imprint on the architecture of the building.
Today thousands of tourists from all over Ukraine come to Mykolaivsky Cathedral to pray to the image of St. Nicholas. According to the beliefs, the icon is miraculous and can ward off ills and grief.
The St. Nicholas Church keeps in itself one more treasure - a silver tabernacle. This object was donated to the temple of Alexander III in memory of the Tsarevich Nikolai Alexandrovich. Today, the visitors of the cathedral can see the tabernacle.
