Ethnographic Museum

The Ethnographic Museum is located in a house once owned by the merchant Halperin. The building was built in 1905 in the fashionable then modernist style and is one of the main cultural places of Mogilev-Podilsky. The museum is widely represented expositions, reflecting different periods of the history of Ukraine. Among the exhibits are widely presented archaeological finds of Trypillian culture.

The museum is widely represented expositions, reflecting different periods  history of Ukraine.

Among the exhibits are widely presented archaeological finds of the T.Ripolian culture. All kinds of boilers, vessels and other utensils will tell a lot about the culture of life of those times. In the weapons room are exhibits that have forever entered the history of Ukraine: Turkish weapons, Cossack arrows, weapons of the Great Patriotic War.

There are halls dedicated to collections of paintings, minerals and antique furniture. But of special interest is the department of the museum, dedicated to the Podolian culture. Here you can see Podolsk clothes, all kinds of home appliances. I would like to note the collection of decorative and applied art of the masters of Podillia. Embroidered fine work can be admired for hours. A special place in the museum is allocated Podolsky  outposts - the traditional art of artistic carving. Most of the works are provided by Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine M. Rudenko.

Tour of the museum will open a lot for you and leave an indelible impression. The Ethnographic Museum is open from 9:00 to 17:00, except Monday.
