Monument to the victims of the Chernobyl disaster Chernobyl Zvon
On April 26, 2001, on the 15th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster, a monument was opened in Dnepropetrovsk, dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Chernobyl disaster. The figured arch, symbolizing a nuclear explosion, with a 140-kilogram bronze bell inside, was created by the project of Ukrainian sculptor Alexander Zobenko. The monument was built on donations collected by the organization Chernobyl Union.
In 2010, near the Chernobyl ringing, one more composition was built - a bird with a radiation-scorched wing. This figure is designed to remind humanity of the price of irreparable mistakes.
The monument is located in the square named after Lenin.
