Odessa Archeological Museum

Visiting the Odessa Archaeological Museum is an invaluable experience for everyone who decided to go on holiday to Odessa. To visit this place is worth it, if only because it is one of the oldest not only on the territory of Ukraine, but also in the whole CIS.

The history of the museum begins in 1825. At its sources stood the Odessa patron Peter Blaramberg who, feeding weakness to ancient finds, managed to collect an impressive collection of rare exhibits. The collection was constantly replenished, which was the reason for creating a whole museum complex. To date, the archaeological museum stores more than 200 thousand unique finds.

The exposition is divided between 10 rooms and is built in such a way that the visitor could consistently get acquainted with different stages of the development of the world civilization, beginning from primitive times and ending with the modern era. In addition to the main exposition, museum staff regularly organize thematic exhibitions dedicated to the culture of a particular people. The Odessa Archaeological Museum is a real treasure house that preserves a priceless cultural heritage.

It is noteworthy that not only the interior content of the museum is of particular value, the building itself is a sample of classical classical art. Find it simply enough, moving along the Primorsky Boulevard, look for a structure with columns.
