Geographical center of Europe, Kolyba Museum

Today, on the side of the road Mukachevo-Rogatin, the center of Europe is marked by a two-meter pillar, created in the 70s of the last century. Nearby there is another monument, which was designed a little later - in the first years of Ukraine's independence. This monumental panel, which informs the travelers about the significance of this section of the road. For convenience of motorists along the road there is a small parking lot.
Having visited this interesting place, you will also be able to see commemorative signs on the mountainside telling about the history of Ukraine, the traditions of the Transcarpathian region, its unique animal and plant world.
For those who want to relax among the amazing local forests on a picturesque glade, a cozy gazebo is arranged, and in the pine forest a spring with crystal clear healing water beats. In addition, there are four churches in the village. Visit the wooden church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin, erected in the distant 1750.
Another interesting object located in the village of Delovoye is the Koliba Museum. It is unique in that it contains a huge collection of exhibits telling about the life of local people of different eras. In the museum you will see a variety of household items, clothes, dishes, household utensils, souvenirs. Here you can taste the dishes of the famous Hutsul cuisine prepared by skilled Transcarpathian cooks. During the trip to Rakhiv district, you will also have the opportunity to taste delicious bread, which has long been famous for the local bakery.
The village of Delovoye is located 190 kilometers from the city of Uzhgorod and 140 kilometers from Ivano-Frankivsk. Several times a day from the regional center of Transcarpathia there are shuttle buses and regular buses. A trip from the bus station of Uzhgorod to the village of Delovoe will take about 5.5 hours.
Given that the village is located only 50 kilometers from the Ukrainian-Romanian border, on the opposite bank of the local river Tisa you can see the Romanian village of Vishivska Dolina. If you are lucky, you will hear how the locals talk through the river in a specific Transcarpathian dialect.
