Marmalade Museum

The museum of marmalade and useful sweets is located in the Sevastopol eco-park "Lukomorye". Here you can not only learn an interesting history of marmalade and try sweets for the best recipes of famous chefs, but also to get delicious samples of delicacies in a special shop. Therefore, it was only opened in 2010, today the Sevastopol museum of marmalade has gained great popularity among hundreds of sweety tourists. There are no analogues to this museum in Ukraine.

Therefore, it was only opened in 2010, today the Sevastopol museum of marmalade has gained great popularity among hundreds of sweety tourists.

There are no analogues to this museum in Ukraine. Preparing for its opening, the founders appealed to 70 embassies in Ukraine with a request to provide information on the features of making marmalade in Germany, France, the US and other countries. Therefore, the exposition with sweet aroma of this marmalade opens before the visitors all the secrets of making and distributing this delicacy in the world.

The first thing a visitor to the museum sees is a map-scheme that tells the history of useful delicacies, starting from the 14th century. In addition, the museum can see four sculptures that demonstrate the long and interesting way of marmalade in time and space. So, the sculpture "Turchanka" tells about the peculiarities of consumption of marmalade in ancient times in the East. "Crusader" illustrates the time when jellyfish got to Europe. The sculpture of the public catering worker reminds us that we had a delicacy in the 19th century, and finally a little boy symbolizes the modern consumer of fragrant sweets.

Having visited the museum of marmalade, you will get acquainted with dozens of different varieties of marmalade and even you will be able to write down several recipes for their preparation. And you will certainly see a collection of ancient tea appliances, among which there will be an ancient Chinese set with images of dragons, as well as dozens of boxes and packages from various sweets. In addition, here you will find out who invented the favorite delicacy of children - "Kinder-surprise", which teas better emphasize the taste of various sweets and marmalade varieties are considered the most delicious. In the end, you can visit the tasting and try the unique samples of marmalade, cooked by the best confectioners according to the traditional recipes of different countries.
