Nikitsky Botanical Garden
Visit this unique place and you will see more than thirty different species of plants that are gathered in different parts of the world. Walking along the shady alleys of the garden and listening to the fascinating story of the guide, be sure to pay attention to the pool located at the top of the garden. Sky-blue water, according to the plans of its creators, should remind visitors of the transparent waters of the Black Sea.
Your view will open areas with a magnificent oleander, blue burdocks and tropical bamboo, an evergreen yucca, the fibers of which are of extraordinary strength.
On the garden terraces grow olive trees, sacred Lebanese cedars, majestic plane trees, in the shade of which there is a fairy-tale gazebo, reminiscent of the house of the heroine of Malvina from the fairy tale Golden Key.
Relax beside the pond, admiring the magnificent lilies growing on its surface, look at the reduced copy of the Bakhchsarai fountain of tears, with the cup of patience filling with water.
During the year, the Nikitsky Botanical Garden hosts thematic exhibitions of cacti, chrysanthemums, roses and other equally beautiful plants.
Conditionally the garden is divided into several parts: Upper Park, Lower Park and Seaside Park. The oldest part is the Lower Park. Behind the main territory of the garden is the Seaside Park, it is at the very bottom and access there is open 24 hours a day to everyone. In the upper zone for an additional fee you can look at the unique cactus greenhouse.
In Nikitsky Botanical Garden, not just grow various plants, but also carried out a huge selection and scientific work. The world glory of the garden was brought by its amazing arboretum (arboretum). For many years it has been a visiting card of the botanical science of Ukraine for tourists, specialists, and also plant scientists. Thanks to the rare experience of growing and using plants brought from all over the world, a unique subtropical phyto-landscape of the Crimean coast was formed.
You can get to Nikitsky Botanical Gardens by bus or by shuttle bus from Yalta bus station to Nikita. From the route Simferopol-Yalta to the central entrance a shuttle taxi runs, you can also go on foot, but it will take a little longer, about half an hour.
