Cape Meganom

Cape Meganom has the glory of a mystical locality. People did not live or live on it. The ancient Greeks believed that there flows the river Styx - it is on it that the old Charon moves the souls of the deceased to the kingdom of the dead of Hades.

Meganom has a desert relief. The rocky part occupies about 20 square meters - here lies the promontory that extends far into the sea.

In the Soviet years, military units were located in this place. According to the stories of local residents, in 1960 in this area underwater tests of a nuclear bomb were conducted and, according to ufology, the higher forces were disturbed. Above the headland, allegedly, an alien flying saucer was knocked down, from which there was a fragment seized by the services of the KGB.

Cape Meganom is also famous for its mysterious "rings", ring-shaped yellow bands on the grass, which can be viewed from a height. With an incomprehensible periodicity, they suddenly fade. If people get into the ring zone, they begin to feel unbearably bad.

Vegetation here is rich in rare steppe grasses and shrubs. Water in the sea is considered to be the cleanest and most transparent. Fauna is the most diverse.
