Croatia: a paradise for tourists

These days, trips to Croatia can be tailored to almost any taste and budget, which is why tours to this country are becoming increasingly popular. People often visit Croatia for its clean environment, stunning natural beauty, and mild climate. But that’s not all—visits to numerous landmarks are also very common. For food lovers, it’s a true paradise: a wide variety of local cuisines and wines can be found in taverns and restaurants everywhere.
Russian tourists are also attracted by the affordable prices and the genuinely friendly locals. People here strive to make travelers’ stays interesting and comfortable, rather than focusing solely on making a profit. Another advantage is that a visa is not required for visits to Croatia, so you don’t have to spend time, nerves, or money on paperwork.
What can tourists expect during their vacation in Croatia? Long, clean beaches; rugged rocky cliffs that stretch into the Adriatic Sea; numerous castles scattered across the Croatian hills; dense forests in the mountainous regions; vast Slavonian fields; thermal springs; and cozy towns in the foothills of the mountains, among many other things. This is truly a place where you can escape from the daily hustle and bustle.
Nature is Croatia’s greatest treasure—currently, 7.5% of the country’s territory is covered by national parks and reserves. This figure is expected to increase in the future, meaning that soon, right in the heart of Europe, there will be a true oasis of beauty and tranquility.
You might want to visit the Brijuni archipelago, which consists of two large islands and twelve smaller ones. In addition to rare plants, tourists can see architectural monuments from ancient, Roman, and early Byzantine periods. Children will enjoy the zoo with its exotic animals. The Krka National Park is interesting for those interested in sacred sites—the Visovac island is home to a Franciscan monastery with a valuable library. You should also visit the ancient town of Skradin, which has a hotel and a sailing center.
The famous Plitvice Lakes are connected by 92 waterfalls and have been listed as a World Natural Heritage site. Local traditions, such as weddings held beneath the waterfalls, are still practiced here. The Kopnati archipelago, the largest in the Mediterranean, is perfect for nature lovers—with its steep cliffs, rocky shores, and rich biodiversity. Romantics will be drawn to the Trakoščan castle, which belonged to the Drašković aristocratic family as far back as the 16th century. Other national parks also have their own unique attractions.
