Top-15 films of 2016, which can not be missed

In the kinematographic plan, the year 2016 promises to be very fruitful. We are expecting exciting screen versions of kinomics, an abundance of dramas and fantasy, as well as "bison" of science fiction. However, everything is in order.

1. "Playing down"/The Big Short

Directed by:Adam McKay

Cast:Christian Bale, Ryan Gosling, Steve Carell, Brad Pitt, Melissa Leo, Jeremy Strong

Premiere date:January 14

The January adventure of four economists is literally on the verge. Many are victims of economic crises, but there are those who are able to earn them. Adam McKay offers us a story based on real events, when unremarkable guys predicted the 2008 crisis and started a game to improve their own well-being.

The film already claims many awards in the field of cinematography, and we can only hope that such bison as Bale, Pitt, Gosling and Carell will not play down their usual level of acting.

2. "The Ghoulish Eight"/The Hateful Eight

Director:Quentin Tarantino

Cast:Kurt Russell, Samuel L. Jackson, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, Jennifer Jason Lee, Walton Goggins, Demien Bisheer, Bruce Dern

Date of premiere:January 14

Tarantino is back, and with him and westerns. The author of the films "Pulp Fiction", "Inglourious Basterds" and "Django Liberated" again took up the post-wilder Wild West, with its vast expanses, mercenaries, saloons and horses. However, in all of Tarantino's creations the leading role is not assigned to entourage, but to brightly written characters, their sparkling dialogues. A well-known bounty hunter must deliver a prisoner from point "A" to point "B". On the way, he meets another hunter, but the weather makes his own adjustments, which forces the company to seek shelter in a local shop where a disparate pack of characters is located - that's where it all begins.

At the same time, this film, nevertheless, brings originality to the already unique Tarantino style. The narrative will force you not to look away from the chair to look at the chatter, sarcastic attacks, jokes of the heroes and parallel himself to calculate which of them is not who he claims to be. Constant tension and moral pleasure in the end are provided.

3. "Survivor"/The Revenant

Director:Alejandro Gonzalez Inyarritu

Cast:Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hardy, Donal Gleeson, Paul Anderson, Will Poulter

Date of premiere:January 7

Definitely the film most anticipated by the Ukrainian public at least the beginning of 2016. The best director of this year, Inyarritu and the most ambitious and popular actor of our time (here there must be a joke about the "Oscar" - Ed.) DiCaprio tell us the story of the hunter Hugh Glass, who was seriously wounded and abandoned by his partner to die in the harsh and icy lands of the Wild West. This film is a battle, a battle for life in really difficult conditions, an unyielding willpower and a desire to prove to nature and a traitor comrade that a person really decides his own destiny.

Since the picture has already appeared in the world box office, it is not difficult to find reviews and reviews, but it is better to drop all speculation and opinions and go to the cinema, enjoy camera and director work, and fight to the last drop of blood together with the hero DiCaprio. Perhaps it's worth it.

4. "Deadpool"/Deadpool

Directed by:Tim Miller

Cast:Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, Gina Carano, Stan Lee, Ed Scryne, TJ Miller, Rachel Shin

Premiere date:February 11

It's hard to imagine a more ironic and daring character in the Marvel universe than Deadpool. As the result of a failed experiment, Wade Wilson received incredible strength and agility, but these are not his main qualities. A sharp tongue, black humor and extreme coolness - that's how he can turn his head to everyone without exception.

And again the question arises: is everything right with the guy with his head? Deadpool performed by Ryan Reynolds is a walking circus and a split personality at the same time. With swords, pistols and health regeneration. Is not it a miracle? It's enough just to look at the trailer and save money for the premiere - this action is waiting for us in February.

5. "Long live Caesar!"/Hail, Caesar!

Director:Ethan and Joel Cohen

Cast:Josh Brolin, Scarlett Johansson, George Clooney, Channing Tatum, Ralph Fiennes, Tilda Swinton, Francis McDormand

Premiere date:March 3

Skipping the next creation of the Cohen brothers is like giving up - disrespect for yourself. This time the creators of such hits as "Big Lebowski," "Fargo" and "The Old Men Are Not Here" will take us to Hollywood for a film about Caesar. The Roman general, performed by George Clooney, is kidnapped from the set, and the task of the film's producer is to return it as soon as possible.

This picture this year opened the Berlin Film Festival and earned many positive reviews among critics. Stylish, bright, ironic and, as always, with a bunch of references to classic films of the middle of the last century, the attraction awaits us very soon. Long live Caesar!

6. "The Jungle Book"

Director:John Favreau

Cast:Scarlett Johansson, Idris Elba, Lupita Niongo, Bill Murray, Christopher Walken, Ben Kingsley

Date of premiere:April 7

The screen version of Rudyard Kipling's famous collection of stories about the boy Mowgli, brought up by wolves, is a new test for the director of "Iron Man" John Favreau. The picture is remarkable in that the animals and the world in which they live will be drawn using computer graphics. At the same time, Mowgli will play a real actor.

It would seem that the new can be thought of in the film adaptation of the history that has grown fond of childhood. At a minimum, invite to the scoring of Kaa charming and charismatic Scarlett Johansson, and the role of Bagheera entrust the famous owner of the "Oscar" Ben Kingsley. The jungle is called!

7. "To Everyone"/Everybody Wants Some

Directed by:Richard Linklater

Cast:Zoey Deutsch, Glen Powell, Tyler Hacklin, Ryan Guzman, Wyatt Russell, Dora Madison

Premiere date:April

It would seem, for what kind of picture Richard Linklater would not undertake, you can not worry about the quality of the finished film. This time, the owner of the "Golden Globe" for the best direction undertook to make a film about the life of ordinary baseball players "To each his own". And at once, no, this is not another epic about the Second World War, as it may seem from the title. Carefree 80's, oddball baseball players, parties, cute fanatics, great soundtrack and an atmosphere of freedom will take you to a world where everyone has a chance of success as well as a kick in the ass.

After monumental and close to each biographical tape "Adolescence" and the romantic-philosophical trilogy "Before dawn/dusk/midnight" Linklater prepared as always a meaningless spring fervor, which is very intriguing.

8. "Warcraft"/Warcraft

Directed by:Duncan Jones

Cast:Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton, Daniel Wu, Toby Kessbel, Ben Foster, Dominique Cooper

Premiere date:May 26

Finally, the representative of the game industry will reach the cinema. Legendary fantasy-game Warcraft will enjoy on the big screens not only dedicated fans, but fans of fantasy magic with evil orcs and secret portals. The lands of Azeroth will become a haven of a race of previously unknown creatures of the dark side after overcoming the seemingly inaccessible walls of Stormwind.

Universal Pictures Corporation together with the developers of the game Blizzard Entertainment will dip the audience into a truly beautiful world, will show the first meeting of people with orcs, as well as the conflict between the Alliance and the Horde. The film did not fall into the hands of Uwe Boll, which means that the picture has already won in all aspects.

9. "Destruction"/Demolition

Directed by:Jean-Marc Valle

Cast:Jake Gyllenhaal, Naomi Watts, Chris Cooper, Heather Lind, Brendan Duling

Date of premiere:May

It's hard to imagine a year without the next work of Jake Gyllenhaal, who has already accustomed us to his quality roles. After climbing Everest in the film of Baltasar Kormakura, Gyllenhaal will change into the classic costume of an investment banker. His hero was in an unpleasant situation: the wife tragically dies in a car crash, which plunges him into emotional depression. While the main protagonist thinks about what has gone wrong in his life, he meets a woman who radically changes the situation.

If we had not dealt with the director of the Oscar-winning film "The Dallas Club of Buyers", one would think that this picture is an ordinary romantic drama, but they are sure that not everything is so simple, and Jean-Marc Vallee hid more than one trump card in his sleeve.

10. "Neon Demon"/The Neon Demon

Directed by:Nikola Vinding Reph

Cast:Keanu Reeves, Jen Malone, Christina Hendricks, El Fanning, Abby Lee, Carl Glusman

Premiere date:spring 2016

The winner of the Cannes Film Festival for the film "Drive" Nicholas Winding Rehn in the new year will again show us a low-budget movie with huge ambitions. This time, the Dane will tell the story of a young beginner model who moves to Los Angeles, and at this very hour attention is paid to local beauties who are ready for unimaginable actions in order to gain her inner strength and youth.

Most likely, we are not waiting for a stylish ascetic slasher, as in the case of the "Drive", and a thriller with elements of chilling horror. The more interesting the expectation.

11. "In search of Dori"/Finding Dory

Directed by:Andrew Stanton and Angus MacLaine

Cast:Idris Elba, Dominic West, Diane Keaton, Willem Defoe, Albert Brooks, Caitlin Olson

Premiere date:June 16, 2016

Continuation of a kind and sweet cartoon "In Search of Nemo", which was released 13 years ago (!), will unfold around the surgeon surgeon Dori. Even for the first cartoon, many remember the main feature of a benevolent marine resident - the constant failures of memory. The action of the picture will take place one year after the events of the previous part. In the sequel will also appear all the favorite characters: Nemo, Marlin, as well as the inhabitants of the aquarium.

Large cash collections for this product have already been provided, and in the rest - it's up with screenwriters and animators. However, the Pixar studio is always a guarantee of quality, and examples of good sequels are already available in the form of "Toy Story" and "Monsters' Corporations." For children - vacations and popcorn, adults - incredible beauty of the ocean and, as always, Pixar - a profound instructive meaning.

12. "Ice Age: Collision is Imminent"/Ica Age: Collision Course

Director:Mike Termeyer, Galen T. Choo

Cast:Simon Pegg, Jennifer Lopez, Melissa Rausch, John Leguizamo, Nick Offerman, Stephanie Beatriz

Premiere date:July 14, 2016

After a four-year absence, a lovely and at the same time exciting adventure story about the glacial period returns to the big screens. Immediately it is worth reassuring: all the fallen in love heroes remained in their places. More precisely. they will be forced to leave them. The whole fault is the unlucky Scrat who, in pursuit of his acorn, has done things already in space, and now a new threat looms over the glacial world. In this regard, Mani, Diego, Sid, as well as other characters go in search of new lands for existence.

With each new part of this saga, critics' reviews were all more severe, and it seemed that the series was stalling. Whatever it was, this winter frosty farce on the screen is still waiting with a special trepidation and hope. In one you can be sure: children's laughter in the cinema is provided!

13. "Suicide squad"/Suicide Squad

Directed by:David Eyre

Cast:Margot Robbie, Will Smith, Kara Delevin, Scott Eastwood, Jared Leto, Ben Affleck, Jay Courtney

Premiere date:August 4

Superhero movies about the DC universe are already habitually revealing the identity of each individual character, which ultimately creates the effect of a bomb that explodes. You can only imagine what carnival will reign on the screen when Harley Quinn, Dadshot, Joker, Batman, Captain Boomerang and the other crazy gather together.

Will highly ambiguous film director David Eyre worthy of implementing kinokomiks with such a set of stars, we learn in August. In the meantime, we are satisfied with the trailer with the inimitable Jared Leto in the role of the Joker psychopath.

14. "Doctor Strange"/Doctor Strange

Directed by:Scott Derrickson

Cast:Benedict Cumberbatch, Rachel McAdams, Tilda Swinton, Mads Mikkelsen, Civitel Egiofor

Premiere date:November 3, 2016

It is already clear that the year 2016 will be incredibly productive on the screen version of the world-famous comic books. This time we will witness a tragic story of one of the best neurosurgeons, whose hands, as a result of a car accident, lose their former abilities. And it would seem, instead of going into binge, the hero learns hand-to-hand combat, studies magic and becomes the most powerful wizard in the universe.

Trust this role could only be a man who has repeatedly saved the world both in the role of a brilliant detective in Sherlock Holmes, and no less than a brilliant mathematician in "The Game in Imitation" - Benedikt Cumberbatch. How successful the mage will be a Briton, we'll find out in November.

15. "Star Wars: The Outcast"/Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

Directed by:Gareth Edwards

Cast:Mads Mikkelsen, Felicity Jones, Alan Tudyk, Forest Whitaker, Diego Luna, Donnie Yong

Date of premiere:December

If someone thought that after watching the seventh episode of "Star Wars" he will have two whole years to review it and wipe it up, he was wrong. A year later on the big screens comes a picture-branch under the clear guidance of Gareth Edwards. The events in the film will unfold just after the episode of "New Hope" and before the "Sith Place."

In the center of attention resistance fighters will appear who intend to steal the drawings of the "Death Star". A great opportunity to quench the thirst for space adventure before the release of the eighth episode - "Star Wars" does not happen much.
