Round Bridge in Uruguay
In just twelve months, an unusual circular bridge was erected in Uruguayan lagoon Garson, connecting the departments of Maldonado and Rocha. Earlier, there was a ferry crossing here.

Laguna Garzon unites a network of lagoons along the Uruguayan coast of the Atlantic Ocean. The existence of the ferry, not only added romance to travelers, but also seriously hindered normal transport communications, plus additional contamination of protected areas. Architect Rafael Vignoli has designed a bridge project that will not only limit the speed of movement of the lixivans, but also allow a little distraction for those traveling to the incredible natural beauty of the wild. Also, the bridge is equipped with pedestrian paths.
