The abandoned NASA laboratory
About 1150 hectares of land in Ventura County, California have for many decades been the site of a large number of experiments related to radiation. Here was the field laboratory of NASA.

The full name of this lab sounds like the Santa Susana Field Laboratory. It functioned since the 1940s, and since 2006, the program has been curtailed. The territory is still under protection, as the local radiation background is many times higher than the permissible. According to NASA reports, about ten fires of low-power nuclear reactors were located here. At the same time, it was in the territory of this field laboratory that such projects as Saturn, Atlas, Space Shuttle and others were created and tested in the early stages. At the moment, there is still a gradual cleaning of the territory.
