Meknes - the city of 888 sons
In the 17th century, when the young Sultan Ismail ascended to the throne of Morocco, one of his first decisions was the choice of the new capital of the empire. And she became Meknes. Sultan ordered to build 76 fortresses, which were supposed to protect the main roads from possible attacks from the surrounding mountains.

As a result, Meknes was in the ring of a protective wall with a length of 25 km. And another sultan contained 500 concubines, which gave him 888 boys and an indefinite number of girls. In the Guinness Book of Records, he is recorded as the most father of many children in history. Therefore, I think, half of today's population of Meknes somehow is a distant relationship ...
