Cuescomate - inside an extinct volcano
Located in the Mexican city of Puebla is a cone, which was originally positioned by the local population as the smallest volcano in the world. But it was a misconception.

Most likely, Cuescomate is an extinct geyser. Or at best a mud volcano. It is assumed that this form appeared during one of the eruptions of the nearest active volcano Popocatepetl. The eruption was activated by a local geothermal source, which subsequently formed such a bizarre shape. Inside the conventional crater was installed a ladder, so that anyone can be in the void of the volcano. Tourists are not even bothered by the surrounding of the volcano with modern urban buildings.
