TOP-20 of the most visited cities in the world: where to go and how much tourists spend in 2016
Many cities and even states manage to live exclusively at the expense of tourists who are not stinting during holidays or business trips. But some financial and cultural centers have especially succeeded in this, annually earning billions on newcomers. Our portal found out which cities of the world are most visited in 2016, and calculated their tourist profits. When the city attracts travelers like a magnet, local authorities do not use it, because the generosity of visitors can bring an impressive amount to the treasury. The purpose of the visit is not important: people use the services of hotels, restaurants and taxis, regardless of whether they have come to rest or a business meeting.
MasterCard Corporation published the rating of the most visited cities in the world in 2016. In addition to the number of tourists who stayed here for at least one night, the experts named the profit received by the city and the main items of expenditure of visitors.
