In 18 kilometers west of the Bulgarian city of Varna there is an amazing place called Stone Forest. At first glance it may seem that before you are the ruins of an ancient temple. In fact, this is the work of nature.
The stone columns are scattered along the eight-kilometer line of the Black Sea coast. All posts have different heights. Some of them reach 5-7 meters. At the same time, the thickness of the columns varies from 30 centimeters to 3 meters. Another feature & ndash; All the pillars are hollow inside and filled with ordinary sand. The foundations of the columns are also weak, and it seems as if they were just pounded into the sand. There are many theories of the origin of the pillars, but scientists have not yet come to a consensus.
