Stunning photos showing how to eat and play whales and killer whales off the coast of Norway
Espen Bergersen is a talented 37-year-old photographer, laureate of several international prizes, who, for 8 years, first discovered dozens of humpback whales and killer whales off the coast of the northern Norwegian island of Ando. Since then, he has not ceased to document the life of these magnificent creatures during their migration. His work has helped scientists better understand these amazing mammals and come closer to unraveling the mysteries of their nutrition, mating and communication.
Bergersen says that seeing whales and whales swim together is very unusual, but there is one thing that unites these two species - food.
Annually, between October and January, hundreds of whales come to northern Norway to eat a huge amount of herring. So here begins a real feast a few months long.
Take a look at these incredible shots of whale "festivities" made by a photographer at the fjords near Vesterålen and Tromsø. We vouch, you will begin to dream of seeing this amazing spectacle with your own eyes.
