Stunning aerial photos of the dazzling Buddhist temples of Myanmar
Magnificent landscapes of Myanmar are decorated with sparkling gold details of incredible temples. These majestic ancient buildings, drowning in exuberant exotic greenery, represent a spectacle, from which intercepts the breath.
London architect and photographer Dimitar Karanikolov was so impressed and inspired by the paintings that he opened that he wanted to present to the whole world these stunning views from a bird's eye view, taking pictures with the help of drones.
Each photo depicts one of thousands of Buddhist temples, shrines and pagodas, built in the vast forests of Bagan, Yangon and Mandalay. Despite the fact that all these buildings rise above the trees, it is impossible to appreciate their incredible beauty from the ground level. But aerial photos of Karanikolov effectively demonstrate the amazing scale and unexpected symmetry of buildings.
Today in Bagan there are more than 10,000 Buddhist temples and, as you will see from the photo series, many of them are being restored at the moment.
