La Maison du Gouffre - the house between the rocks
In the small French village of Pruglesco, in Brittany, there is a unique cottage literally squeezed between two giant boulders. And, during the construction of this cottage, no one thought about the attraction for tourists.

The reason for this construction was somewhat different. The future owner of the house wanted to protect him from frequent storms, which here are quite regularly. The construction of the cottage was completed in 1861 year. At that time, there were no standards and permits for construction. Everyone could build a house where he wanted. After the death of the first owner, the house was inherited by his descendant. In 2004, the great granddaughter of the founder, sold her business to the US and finally moved to the house of her ancestor. After several unsuccessful visits by tourists, she closed access to the house and can only be seen from a distance.
