Anomalies of the sandy sea Ubari
Ubari is a territory of endless sand dunes, which even two hundred thousand years ago had very fertile lands, dotted with a cobweb of rivers, flowing into a massive lake Megafetstsan, whose area was little less than the area of the island of Ireland. p>

During flood periods, the area of the lake could reach 120 thousand square kilometers, increasing more than 1.5 times. Climatic changes led to the gradual evaporation of water and the giant lake turned into several dozen small lakes scattered throughout the so-called sandy sea of Ubari. Due to the fact that in the territory of modern Libya there is no river that does not dry up, the lakes have no external feeding and the water in them is incredibly salty. It is possible that without human intervention, very soon these amazing oasis lakes in the middle of the desert can disappear forever.
