The small town of Baturin in the Chernihiv region is known as the hetman capital. Here was the residence of Kirill Razumovsky, the last Ukrainian hetman. On the banks of the river Seim he built for himself a grand palace and park complex. The author of the project is the Scottish architect C. Cameron. The three-story palace in the spirit of classicism has majestically risen above the whole complex.

Razumovsky Palace in Baturyn after the death of the hetman in 1803 was in desolation. In 1824 there was a fire that destroyed the interior. In the 20th century, the wings of the complex were destroyed. The Second World War caused considerable damage to the facade of the palace. For a long time it was a gray ruin.

New life was breathed into its walls in 2003- in Ukraine they approved a comprehensive program for the preservation of monuments, and a large-scale reconstruction began in Baturin. Now the palace complex is part of the National Reserve "Hetman's Capital". In addition, the museum includes the Museum of Archeology Baturin, the house of General Magistrate V. Kochubey and the stronghold of the Baturyn Fortress.

In the palace of Razumovsky, which has 55 rooms, the hetman's museumwas opened. Magnificent interiors were recreated completely. Tourists can see the saber of Kirill Razumovsky himself, donated by his descendants to the museum. Here - portraits of Ukrainian hetmans, which are transferred from the Lviv Gallery.

On Mondays the museum is closed.
