Golitsyn's Palace

The modern Golitsyn's palace in Trostyants is known as a cultural complex that unites art and local history museums, a chocolate gallery and a coffee room. Guests of the city come here every day to get acquainted with the history of the region. The townspeople loved the palace park for the opportunity to walk here in the evening and on weekends.

It is curious that the exterior of the palace has completely preserved its original appearance. Luxurious stucco and antique sculptures in the niches give the estate greatness and aristocracy. The refinement of the building is emphasized by elements of baroque and neoclassicism, adorning the facade of the building and the room.

The mansion was built in the 18th century not by Prince Golitsyn, as one might assume from the name, but by the landlords of the Nadarzhinsky. Kharkov Vasily Golitsyn received this house as a dowry and owned it until 1881. During this time, a large number of famous people visited the mansion as guests, among them there was a young PI Tchaikovsky. Golitsyn's palace is known as an estate in which the overture to the first symphonic work of the great composer on the drama "Storm"was written. In memory of this event in the museum of local history Trostyants constantly presents an exposition devoted to the life of PI Tchaikovsky.

It is interesting that today in the halls of the mansion there are concerts of classical music and poetry evenings.

In 2012, the Trostyanetsky Museum of Chocolate was opened in the left wing of the estate. In the sweet kingdom, you can be photographed against the background of chocolate sculptures of an Indian, a crown, a large cocoa bean, and also try different varieties of this delicacy. The museum is open daily from 9 to 17. Tickets cost from 5 to 10 UAH. " title="Golitsyn's Palace ">
