Jarylgach National Nature Park

The Jarylgachsky National Nature Park is located on the same name of the island of Skadovsky district. The protected bay area also includes the bay that is washing its territory. The park was created in December 2009 by the decree of the President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko.

This complex has a huge international value. The park belongs to the route chains of seasonal flights of avian packs that move from European countries to the Asian continent and vice versa. The park area is about 10 thousand hectares, which also includes the land of the Skadovsky Research Forestry Farm.

There are dozens of species of marine fauna in the bay of the island of Jarylgach, among which there are quite rare animals. Of these: 4 species of invertebrates and 12 species of fish listed in the Red Book of Ukraine.

The island part of the park is inhabited by cloven-hoofed, amphibious, mammalian inhabitants: red deer, mouflon, fallow deer, etc. Among birds, there are swan, sandpiper, gull, duck, tern, karavayka, heron and even pelican.

The nature of the park zone is very beautiful and diverse. Up to now, several species of endangered plants and flowers have been preserved on the island, among which one of the rarest plants of Ukraine is the gold-bearer. To preserve the natural beauty and richness of the park, a year after its opening, the entire protected area was given under special protection.

Dzharylgachsky National Park is a fairy tale in reality. Once you visit it, you will want to come back here again. The park has a special attraction in the warm season.In summer, you can not only admire the nature or relax in the shade of trees, but also with pleasure to swim in the cleanest bay.
