The Military History Museum of the Southern Operational Command was opened in 1965 in Odessa. Here was collected a unique collection of the history of the army from the 19th century to the last years of the Second World War. Years of the Great Patriotic War & ndash; the widest exposition with hundreds of archival documents, reliable photos, books and household equipment.

In the 80s the museum was closed for major repairs, after which its main concept and assortment of exhibits were substantially changed. Now it is a constantly replenishing exposition in 13 halls with an already defined emphasis on the development of Ukrainian military history with documentary and vivid confirmation of the role of the people's army in the battles for Odessa.

The most interesting place in the museum is an exhibition on the open air. Here we have assembled a set of military clearance vehicles, which can be viewed in detail. The technique is presented in chronology from the 1940s to the late 1990s. Nearby will also be curious to visit the football museum.
