The updated Honda Accord is now available for sale in Ukraine.
In April, the updated Honda Accord will go on sale in Ukraine, following its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March. This model version received numerous design changes in 2011, and its handling, driving comfort, and environmental performance were also improved.
The updated Honda Accord has seen improvements in stability at high speeds, as well as smoother driving on poor road conditions, thanks to revisions in the design of its dual-algorithm shock absorbers. The aerodynamic performance of the new model has also been enhanced through changes to the size of the front lower spoiler and the addition of specialized aerodynamic panels on the vehicle’s underbody, which help reduce friction losses in the wheels and tires. The interior of the Honda Accord has been made even quieter in the new version. “Both the sedan and the Tourer models have received new styling elements, thanks to subtle but noticeable changes to the design of the headlights and bumpers. These external modifications are complemented by several refined interior details, such as new materials used for seating trim and door panels, which significantly enhance the cabin’s comfort,” said Honda officials. One of the most significant features of the updated Accord is the addition of the Active Cornering Lights system, which helps the driver illuminate the relevant sections of the road when turning. These additional lights are integrated into the main headlights and come into action when visibility is low, helping the driver to see the direction of the turn. They automatically activate on the corresponding side of the vehicle at speeds below 35 km/h, whenever the driver activates the turn signal or turns the steering wheel by more than 90 degrees. The system also activates on both sides of the car when reverse gear is selected. Another innovative lighting feature in the new Accord is the AutoHigh-Beam Support System, which is available on models equipped with bi-HID xenon headlights. This system uses a CMOS camera installed near the rearview mirror to detect the light from oncoming vehicles or the tail lights of preceding traffic. If the high-beam headlights are activated, the camera automatically switches the lighting to low beam mode to avoid dazzling other drivers. This feature allows the driver to focus entirely on driving without the need to manually switch between high and low beams. The new Honda Accord is available for purchase at a starting price of 236,000 hryvnia.
