Bridge to nowhere in New Zealand
Once upon a time we told you about various unusual bridges. It was a long time ago and then this island did not come to our attention. It's time to talk about this unusual structure, which attracts more and more tourists.
Prehistory of the 'bridge to nowhere' & raquo; (Bridge to Nowhere) is as follows: it was built 77 years ago in order to connect a military settlement with civilization.

The way to the military settlement was blocked by the Mangapurua River.

So there was a concrete arch bridge, 40 meters long, at an altitude of 38 meters.

However, due to remoteness, literally six years after the bridge was built, the last inhabitants left the settlement.

The terrain was completely overgrown, hiding the remains of the dwellings and the road that led to the village.

Now this bridge has become a real attraction of the Wanganui National Park.
